August 3, 2022 @ 8:30 pm - 11:00 pm EDT

$5

We invite you to join us opening night of the 2022 BlackStar Film Festival, August 3 at 8:30pm, for a screening of Storming Caesars Palace, a feature documentary directed by Hazel Gurland-Pooler that tells the story of Las Vegas activist Ruby Duncan and “one of the most extraordinary, yet forgotten, feminist, anti-poverty movements in U.S. history.” The screening will include audio descriptions and open captions. It will be followed by a Q&A with the director with ASL interpretation. Click here to purchase tickets.

This year’s festival features a range of films with audio descriptions and captions. We will also have ASL interpreters at many of the Q&A and panel discussions. Click here to read our Accessibility Guide, which includes more information about the film, event, and space accessibility. You can purchase event tickets or a week-long pass on our website here.
