“The Curious Case of a Multilingual and Multiethnic Deaf Immigrant”: A Presentation by Dr. Anna Lim

The ASL Program in the Department of Linguistics at University of Penn will be hosting Dr. Anna Kim, an Lecturer in Deaf Studies in Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. She will be discussing “translanguaging” within the context of deaf communities by using her own experience being in a multiethnic and multigenerational signing deaf family as well what she has learned in her research.

The lecture will be presented in ASL with ASL/English interpretation provided.  It is free and open to the public.  No registration is required to attend.
